I can’t believe we only have two months left in 2017. The day I am writing this, it snowed briefly for the first time this year, which was bittersweet. Winter is just around the corner. But before we get out the winter coats and fur gloves, lets look back at the past month. Keep reading to see all the products I was loving this month!
I just did a post on a lot of the books I read recently, so I won’t go too into depth on books but I did want to highlight two books that stood out to me. They were This Darkness Mine by Mindy McGinnis and Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn’t Have) by Sarah Mlynowski. They are on the opposite end of the scale. This Darkness Mine is dark and intriguing, while Ten Things We Did was light-hearted and funny. However, they are both amazing books and I could barely put either of them down.
I have a new makeup routine, that I am planning on making a post about, but I wanted to mention one product that I can’t get enough of. It is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty. It is a pretty light pink-purple tone that is extremely flattering on the skin. Beyond simply using it a blush, I wear it as an eyeshadow with Benefit Dandelion Blush and Benefit Hoola Bronzer for the perfect neutral eye that lasts all day with no fallout.
Favourite TV Shows
I have two new favourite TV shows: Dynasty and The Mayor. I am going to be honest, I only started watching Dynasty because Liz Gilles, who played Jade in Victorious (a Nickelodeon show I watched religiously growing up) plays the lead and I only started watching The Mayor because I adore Lea Michele. However, they are both extremely entertaining. Dynasty is suspenseful and dramatic. The new Gossip Girl. The Mayor, on the other hand, is insanely funny and gives me major Brooklyn 99 vibes. If you are looking for a new show, I highly recommend both of these.
I went to the drugstore one day to replace my Simple Micellar Water and ended up picking up the L’Oréal Micellar Water Complete Cleanser. It was less expensive than the Simple one and had double the volume. I have become obsessed. Designed for normal to dry skin, this micellar water doesn’t dry out my skin and leaves it feeling cleaned and refreshed. Defienelty worth giving it a try if you are on the hunt for a new cleanser or makeup remover.
I have already mentioned one Glee star so far in this post and I am about to mention another one. Darren Criss, who played Blaine, and his older brother created a duo called the Computer Games. I have had their EP Lost Boys Life on repeat all month. I am currently listening to the song Every Single Night, which is probably my favourite. If you miss Darrin Criss’ amazing vocals, you are going to fall in love with this EP.
