2016 Unfavourites

Although 2016 was amazing year, it had some ups and downs, and beauty products are no exception. Earlier this week, I made a post on all my favourite products of the year and now I will be talking about the products that weren’t so great. Ready? Let’s dive in!

Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Kool as a Kukumber

Kylie Jenner has a few collections of polishes with Sinful Colors and this polish is part of her Trends Matter Satin Matte collection. In the bottle, this sea foam colour with the small pieces of glitter looks amazing. However, once the polish dries on the nails, it doesn’t looks so good. In my personal opinion, there are only so many colours that look good on the nails in a matte finish and this colour just isn’t one of them. Sorry Kylie but this doesn’t get a gold star from me.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Divine Dark

Last year, I included the standard Batiste dry shampoo in my 2015 Favourites. One of my pet peeves when it comes to dry shampoo is when it appears white in your hair, which is why I decided to pick up this dry shampoo. Although, I was no longer spraying white streaks into my hair, the brown tint made my hair look dirty and lifeless. From now on, I will be staying away from tinted dry shampoos.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder

When trying out this powder, I was looking for something that was even better than my current favourite, the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. However, this was not it. While it looked flawless on the skin, it didn’t feel quite so flawless. It left my skin feeling tight and dried out. Looks like I am sticking with my Stay Matte powder for now.
