2016 Favourites

2016 was another great year, full of great products. From a lip cream to an eyeshadow trio to an amazing book, today, we are going to go through some of my favourites of 2016. Ready? Let’s dive in!

Favourite Lippie

I usually don’t wear a lip product on an ordinary day. However, whenever I want to step up my makeup look a bit, I will swipe on a neutral lippie. My go-to for this year has been NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes. This stunning muted mauve adds more depth to the look while still looking and feeling natural.

Favourite Eyeshadow

Again, eyeshadow isn’t a part of my everyday look. But, when I am going out, I like to use three H&M Eyeshadows: Anthracite, Stay Up Slate, and Infinity. These three grey, shimmery shadows stay in place and are the perfect go-to for adding a bit of glam.

Favourite Mascara

If you are looking for a good, inexpensive mascara, look no further. This year, my favourite mascara has been Wet ‘n Wild Max Fanatic Cat Eye Mascara. After you figure out how to use the unique brush to get the look you want (I personally use only the short bristles), your lashes look fantastic and the mascara stays on all day. For an extra boost, layer it on top of the Maybelline Great Lashes Mascara.

Favourite Book

Unfortunately, I only read 20 books this year. Out of those 20, I had two favourites: Seriously… I’m Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres and Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Ellen’s book was hilarious and so much fun to read, whereas Becky Albertalli’s book was sad and inspiring , but they were both amazing.

What were you loving this year? Let me know in the comments below!
