I am always talking about different products and DIYs that you can but on your skin. However, the best way to get younger, brighter and healthier skin, is to focus on what you are putting in your body. There is a ton of stuff on the internet about what you should and shouldn’t eat to get better skin, but all that information can be overwhelming and confusing. So, to simplify for all of you, here are 5 ways to make your skin look better from the inside out! Ready? Let’s dive in.
1. Eat Your Veggies
I know that fruits and vegetables may not be your favourite foods, but they are full of vitamins and minerals that are amazing for your skin. You want to try to get 5 servings of fruits and veggies every day. Smoothies are a great way to get your daily intake, just make sure that your smoothie doesn’t have a lot of sugar.
2. Drink a Lot of Water
Water. Water. Water. You have probably heard this over a hundred times, but that is because drinking water is super important. Getting a minimum of 2 liters of water a day will help your skin stay hydrated, making it brighten and healthier.
3. Sip Some Tea
Green tea contains a lot of antioxidants, just like fruits and vegetables. These antioxidants can help promote the rejuvenation of cells, making your skin appear younger and brighter. Some teas are specifically designed to help achieve better skin, such as Yogi Skin Detox, which is a green tea that contains rose petals and hibiscus, which can help soothe the skin, and Your Tea Skin Magic Tea, which can help with acne, eczema and uneven skin tone.
4. Cut Back on Dairy
Not only does dairy contain hormones that can cause acne, it can also cause darker circles and larger bags under your eyes, as well as white spots. While cutting out dairy entirely is best for your skin, and has no health related disadvantages, it is hard for most people to stop eating dairy entirely. Instead, start looking for alternatives to replace some of your dairy products, such as almond milk instead of cows milk or a cashew based ice cream instead of a cream based one.
5. Eat Organic
All those pesticides and other chemicals using in farming fruits and vegetables end up in your body when you eat non-organic foods. And, as I have already mentioned, what you eat and the condition of your skin goes hand in hand. Therefore, how good can those vegetables really be for your skin when you are ingesting all those chemicals?
