Walking into a drugstore with no idea what you are actually looking for can be over whelming. Add in tons of new product launches and your shopping trip is almost doomed from the gecko. So, instead, do a bit of research on the new products so you don’t feel so over whelmed. I personally find maracas the most overwhelming because it can be hard to tell what makes one different from another. Therefore, below is some in depth information on 5 new drugstore mascaras, so you aren’t overwhelmed on your next trip to your local Shoppers Drug Mart of CVS. Ready? Lets dive into the mascaras!
Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara ($9)
Revlon went all in with revamping their mascaras. They got rid of every mascara they used to carry and brought in these five new, sleek and well designed mascaras: Dramatic Definition (Purple), Super Length (Green), Ultra Volume (Pink), Volume + Length Magnified (Blue) and Ultimate All-In-One (Red). I like how they simplified their mascara line. It is very straight forwards and elegant, in a way. For the Ultimate All-In-One, it claims to lengthen and lift, while adding volume and definition to your lashed, as well as intensifying the colour. The small brush is designed to reach every single lash, and the hollow center allows you to get the most product disturbed evenly.
Covergirl Plumpify BlastPro Mascara ($11)
I know people can be picky with what mascara wands they prefer. If the Revlon mascara’s small brush wasn’t to your liking, then maybe this Covergirl mascara will be more up your alley. This double action brush vertically lifts your lashes from their roots, while giving them up to 50x more volume without clumping. And, with the bristles on the end of the brush, you are still able to get every single lash.
Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Doll Lash Extension Kit ($20)
Want the look of eye lash extensions without actually having to sit there forever to get them? Well then, this may be the product for you. This duo is a combo of the mascara and the extensions, which are faux fibres made out of plant cellulose. Also, the mascara claims to be “lash boosting,” which means it contains ingredients that will increase the growth of your lashes.
Essence I Love Extreme Volume Waterproof Mascara ($5)
Moving away from the red, white and black packaging theme that has been going on so far, we have this Essence mascara. While Essence does have rather cheap packaging, I am a fan of their products and am excited to try some of their new launches, including two new mascaras. This first is the one above, which coats every lash in waterproof volume. The second one is Multi Action Mascara ($4) and separates your lashes, while adding extreme lashes and adding length.
NYC Lovatics By Demi Mascara ($5)
I have talked about this line quite a bit. I mentioned the lip and cheek tint in my Benefit Dupes post and the palette in my Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes You Don’t Know About But Should post. However, I have yet to mention the mascara. The formula will give your lashes volume and length. But in isn’t the formula that interested me. It was the brush. The red bristles are flexible and give your lashes volume. Whereas, the black bristles at the end are more stiff, making it easier to get the smaller lashes in the corners in your eye.
Will you be trying any of these mascaras? Let me know in the comments below!
