The world of skin care can be a bit over whelming. There are hundreds and hundreds of different cleansers all slightly unique in their own way. So how you find the right one for you. And while I could talk for hours about how to in your perfect facial cleanser, I wanted to start off by talking about one of the newest types of cleansers on the market: Powder Cleansers. I have been hearing more and more about powder cleansers. Therefore, I wanted to help you all decide if powder cleansers are for you.
First of all, what are they? Well, powder cleansers are just that: powder. You shake a bit of the powder onto your hand and mix with a bit of water. This will allow it to lather into a foamy cleanser, that you will then apply to your skin. What is great about these is that you can get a custom amount of exfoliation. The more powder you add, the more exfoliating it is. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more gentle exfoliation, then add more water.
Now onto my top six picks, and what skin types they work best for, so you can find the powder cleanser that works for you.
1. Boscia Tsubaki Oil Infused Exfoliating Powder ($36)
The product is great for all skin types. It is gentle and will remove oil and dirt from your pores. Also, it is hydrating and non-drying, but is still good for oily skin.
2. Givenchy Hydra Sparkiling One Minute Glow Powder ($41)
This is great for dull or dry skin. It is formulated to refine pores, remove impurities and clarify the appearance of the skin, to leave it glowing and fresh in only one minute.
3. Boire Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub ($10)
This is great for combonation skin, and is the only drugstore option on the list. Just because it costs less, doesn’t make it inferior to the other options. The baking soda will help break up excess oil and exfoliate any dry patches.
4. Josie Maron Argan Exfoliating Cleansing Powder ($40)
This is great for all skin types, specifically aging skin. The finely crushed Argan shells help remove dead skin cells, leaving you with brighter, younger looking skin.
5. NUDE Skincare Detox Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash ($42)
This is great for people who live in big city, where their skin is exposed to a lot of pollutants. Pollutants can block the pores and leave your skin looking dull. This cleanser will brighten and exfoliate your skin, while leaving it hydrated and nourished.
6. Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Powder C x 30 Vitamin C Brightening Cleansing Powder ($45)
Last but not least, we have the most expensive out of this list. Great for dull or aging skin, the vitamin C will help brighten and smooth, as well as reduce the signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.
