Just like fashion, beauty goes through trends. More specifically, you start see a blogger and YouTuber talk about how much they love a certain product and suddenly, you start seeing it all over the Internet. These types of products are better known as cult beauty. So, here are 5 of those products that, if you have yet to try, you should. Ready? Let’s go!
1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
This is pricey, I will admit that. For $62, you get a highlight palette with 3 different shades, Iridescent Light (which is a light beige powder and it is exclusive to the palette), Dim Light (a neutral peach beige powder) and Radiant Light (a golden beige powder). This defienelty isn’t a palette for highlighting beginners, as you don’t need 3 different highlight shades. But, if you love highlights and want to try a higher end one and know you are getting a really good product for your money, than this is the product for you.
2. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed – Champagne Pop
If you don’t want an entire highlight palette, try this $38 highlight from Becca. Not only is it a stunning champagne colour that looks great on your cheeks, but it was designed in collaboration with Jaclyn Hill. So, this product is a great way to support the Internet community and look pretty doing it. It is a win-win.
3. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
This is a relatively new foundation, but it has quickly taken the makeup and beauty community by storm. For $39, you get a foundation that claims to have be “natural-looking, full coverage” and have a “beautiful, radiant finish.” And, with 18 shades, you need not look further for your new favourite foundation.
4. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
While I specifically mentioned the Roller Lash Mascara, Benefit mascaras in general have become cult favourites. Roller Lash, however, claims to curl and lift your lashes for only $24 a tube, which a fair price for a high end mascara. If you want unbelievable looking lashes, Benefit recommends starting off with the Roller Lash Mascara, then layering the They’re Real mascara on top.
5. Anastasia Beverly Hill Brow Wiz
You may think this is just your average eye brow pencil. You would be wrong. The internet has been going mad about this product, claiming that nothing compares to how good and natural the Brow Wiz makes your brows look. The only draw back is the price, which is $21. But in my opinion, if your brows don’t look good, it ruins your entire makeup. So, it is worth giving a try.
