Cushion Foundation: What Are They? + Top 5 Picks

A lot of different brands have been coming out with “cushion foundation” as of late, and I thought I would give you the low down on what they are, and the highest rated ones out there. Ready? Lets get started!

What Are They?

Cushion foundations is, basically, a cushion drenched in liquid foundation. When you tap a sponge on the cushion, a bit a product will come out on the sponge. It is really quite simple. I didn’t understand the point though.  Why not just use regular liquid foundation? Why the cushion? So, after more research, I found that cushion foundation first became a trend in Korea a while ago before becoming big over the past year or so here. The selling point of the cushion is that, when you press down on it, it releases the perfect amount of foundation in a perfect, even layer. I am not sold on the idea, but I have heard fantastic things about a variety of cushion foundation so I am willing to give it a try.

Also, a tip for when you are using a cushion foundation. If the packaging allows, flip over the cushion when you are running low to get the last few uses that have settled to the bottom.
