Daily Tip: July 3rd, 2015

With summer comes dried out hair. The hot weather just seems to suck all the moisture out of your locks. Use this tip to give your hair back its moisture and volume.

Today’s tip is… Deep Condition Your Hair.

You have probably heard this before, and maybe done it once or twice, but most people don’t deep condition their hair as much as they should (myself included). The sun, the heat, the humidity, the chlorine, and the ocean are all drying out your hair. Although you condition your hair daily, or almost daily, it still isn’t enough. Your hair will thank you if you deep condition it weekly. Just take 30 minutes one evening and do it while watching TV.

What Should You Use?

There are many different products and DIYs to use as a deep condition. Some examples are:

  • Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner (I personal don’t use store bought deep conditioners but I have heard this is really good)
  • Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Conditioner (This is the current conditioner I am using but you can use what ever conditioner you have)
  • Mayonnaise (or any other DIY hair mask or deep conditioner. There are tons of recipes on Pinterest)

What is your go to deep conditioner? How often do you deep condition your hair? Let me know in the comments below!

P.S. Mayonnaise may be great for hair, but click here to find out how NOT to use it. Also, click here to find out another way to save your dried out hair.
