Never Ever Put These Products On Your Face

It has been awhile since I have done a post on skin care, so I am super excited for today’s post. I have a list of five things that you should keep just for your hair and leave off your face. Lets get started.

1. Hairspray

Have you ever read that hairspray works as a makeup setting spray? While this is a good example of not everything you read on the internet is true. Hairspray contains alcohol and lacquer that will dry out your skin and make it look older. It also has repellents in it, which can irritate the skin, leaving it red and bumpy. Hairspray may be work for your hair, but it doesn’t work for your face.

2. Hair Serum

While some serums can due wonders for your skin, your hair and your skin need different ingredients. A hair serum to make dull hair shiny isn’t going to help your fine lines on your face. Additional, many hair serums have fragrances which can irritate the skin.

3. Shampoo

So, your hair smells amazing from your coconut scented shampoo and it feels super clean. The thought goes through your head of using shampoo on your face. And while you may want your face to smell just as nice and feel just as clean, keep your shampoo just for your hair. Washing your face with shampoo will leave your dry and irritated, so stick with a good smelling face wash instead.

4. Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise makes a super moisturizing hair mask, that leaves your hair feeling amazing. However, mayonnaise is too acidic and too occlusive for your face. It will leave your skin dry and your pores clogged. Instead, try yogurt or honey for a moisturizing face mask.

5. Hair Colour

You just went from a blonde to a brunette. And while your hair looks amazing, your eyebrows no longer match and look out of place. So you got two choices. Dye your eye brows with your hair colour or use an eyebrow pencil or brow mascara to match your eyebrows to your hair. Take the second option, as the first will leave your skin dry and your eyes irritated and burning.
